Situated in the South Eastern extremity of Braintree District, bordering Colchester Borough, Feering has a population of around 1900 and benefits from a mainline rail link to London as well as the A12 trunk road from London to Great Yarmouth.  Within easy reach by bus and car are Colchester, Britain’s oldest recorded town, and Chelmsford.
